Toning Up

I hit my pre pregnancy weight about a month ago.  Actually I was 1 lb under which made me happy.  I don't own a scale though so I haven't weighed myself in over a month.  Maybe I'll eventually get one but then again I don't really want to be obsessed with weighing myself all the time.  So if I'm at my pre-prego weight why am I not happy?  I finally realized that my energy levels are ridiculously low - especially with my baby who boycotts sleeping at night.  I'm tired all of the time.  I'd like to firm up my middle too.  I did really good working out when we lived with my parents because they have a home gym.  It's all gone down the drain since we moved.   About a month ago I started doing a daycare trade at our City Center.  I work in the daycare for 2 hours a week, on Tuesdays, and in return get a free membership.   It's nice because I can take the boys with me and they get some interaction with other kids.  I decided to start taking advantage of my membership by going to some classes.  After a class yesterday and today, I am officially SUPER sore.  I went to a cycling class last night and then a cardio circuit class this morning. They both kicked my butt, but it's nice to work out so hard you feel like you are going to vomit.  That's what you get when you don't work out for while and then push yourself too hard.  Hopefully I can tone up a little bit and get my energy levels up.  I need to get a new swimsuit and some goggles too so I can swim laps and have variety in my workouts.

me= jealous that you got your weight down. That is terrific! WTG. I could stand to lose a good 50 lbs.
It gets just a bit harder the older you get because the candy still tastes terrific and you can't eat as much as you used to!

I need to try a spinning class sometime, I have heard that they are a great workout.

It sounds like your boys are finally feeling good enough for you to take them to the daycare.

I'm glad the boys are feeling better.

You go girl! Right on Jeralee the older you get the harder it is to get the weight off and get in shape. In my 20's and 30's I could eat anything. Now I analyze everything I eat and am pretty good at how much calories I eat. What keeps me going is how many people have told me how good I look. I hate vacations for that reason THE FOOD!

That's great, I so need to start working out again, it's so hard to get back in the habit, you'll have to let me know how you like doing the trades. I've been thinking about doing it again now that Claire is older, the only problem was that she was CONSTANTLY sick. Hope that doesn't happen for you, you guys have had enough of that.

At least you are trying! That is more then I can say about myself. I really need to start swimming. My energy levels are low as well. I always feel better though once I exercise. So that leaves the question, why don't I exercise more often? OH I know, because I am too tired in the first place. lol oh the vicious cycle. oh brother. lol.

Hi Tiff,
My comment doesn't have to do much with your subject but I have a request. Give both of those little boys the best hug you can and tell them its from Grandpa N

Wow, what motivation! And what a cool program at your gym! I kinda count chasing my kids as excercise . . . is that cheating? Anyway, congratultion, Tiff, it really does feel good to say you're officially skinny again after more than 9 months of feeling like you'll never be your "old self" again!

I just visited your blog thanks to Jeralee giving me the address. I don't have too much to say about losing weight since that is strictly forbidden by MY religion. As I read some of your other blogs I seen where Jason gave you a house warming gift. (My kind of gift by the way.) I was surprised that Jeralee didn't get you a personalized, silver plated potato peeler like the one she has in her curio cabinet. Talk about hogging all the unique things in life for yourself.:))
