These were taken a few weeks ago before church. My boys are growing up!

New Job

I just accepted and started a new job as an Account Manager with Luna Webs (www.lunawebs.com) a high-end website development / marketing services company in downtown Salt Lake City.  I will be primarily seeking new business through both internal and outside sales, but also work on contributing to internal marketing strategies.  We do website development, SEO and online marketing, logo and branding, print design, multimedia & video, campaign development, and advertising services.  There really isn't anything we shy away from.  I'm thrilled about the opportunity and keep pinching myself to check and make sure,  I really am actually doing what I'm passionate about.  The only downside is the commute to downtown SLC, although I've been riding Trax, enjoying some time to read and avoiding I-15 traffic.

CH Robinson was my former job in transportation logistics (A Fortune 500 Company), and although I loved everything about the company and the people I worked with- I began to realize during the past couple months that it just isn't what I'm passionate about.  Reluctantly I gave them my noticed and they were surprisingly understanding and supportive about my decision to leave.  Tim- our SLC branch manager in particular was very thoughtful, understanding, and willing to network with me and stay in touch.  I was afraid of burning bridges with some great people there, but I fortunately left on a good note, so that made the transition easier.  CH Robinson is a fantastic company to work for.

Children's Gardens

I bought a membership to Thanksgiving Point last year and figured we'd try it out for a year. We've used it so much that it's definitely been worth it, and we'll definitely be renewing it come July. We made a trip to the children's gardens yesterday. The boys had fun looking at everything and of course playing in the water on Noah's ark. Chan was quite the little poser too, and was stopping and smiling for the camera.

Posing for the camera by the waterfalls

Rowan the pointer.  You would have thought these ducks were real.  He was so intrigued.

The little kid's lighthouse.  There is a ladder inside that they can climb to get to the top and look out the windows.

Opening and shutting the door.  Gotta love his out of control hair, Marsh just buzzed it last night.

Checking out the fish in the pond.

Fun Facts - June

I've been slacking on the fun facts, so here they are for June.

Chandler
*Loves to play the Wii. He's awesome at navigating and would play all day if we let him.

*Is really good at saying his prayers, and is adding a lot of variety to them.

*He's almost potty trained, but we still have an occasional accident. If only he could be naked all of the time, he'd never have another problem!

*He's really independent and is constantly saying, "I can do this mama!" or "Let me, Chandler do this mama!"

*Likes playing outside, and likes the water.

*Weighed 36 lbs when we went to the dr. last week. That's a 4 lb weight gain since he turned 3 last November. No wonder I get tired easily when I'm carrying him.

*Still loves chocolate and now strawberry milk. I've never seen a kid drink so much chocolate milk. (I'm sure he's right up there with his cousin Maeli when she was younger.) He has a glass with every milk and asks for it multiple times during the day. He loves drinking it with a straw.

Rowan

*Weighs right around 23 lbs. He was almost 25 lbs fully clothed at the dr.'s office last week, so I assume he's more like 23.

*Words he's saying:
Mama
Dada
Hot
What's that?
Uh-oh
Wow
Wahoo/hooray

*You can tell he definitely gets excited about a lot of things, and loves to point at things he is interested in.

*He still has his hair obsession. In fact, I think it's gotten worse. He gets so mad when my hair is in a ponytail that he practically rips it out. So I wear it down most of the time. He also just got his hair buzzed last night and I don't think he's as happy with what he has to play with now.

*Is incredibly attached to his paci, but he sleeps wonderful when he has it. He finally has an awesome sleeping schedule that has been consistent for the last couple months. If we are at home, he goes down between 7 & 8 and sleeps until 8 the next morning. He usually will go down for a nap right after breakfast, and another one in the afternoon. I'm sure he's catching up considering all the crappy sleep he got the first 14 months.

*Goes into nursery next month. I couldn't be more excited!

*He's interested in doing peg puzzles and is getting better at them, and is really into stacking blocks.

*He loves to shut doors and is starting to learn to open them too. The other day, I found the front door wide open and he was playing on the playground. Between him and Chandler, I really need to get another lock for the front door.

Hand, Mouth & Foot

My boys picked up Hand, Mouth & Foot disease this last week.  I'm pretty sure it was at the daycare where I do my trade.  Both of them broke out in a red rash, Chandler fevered on Tuesday night and then Thursday they both started getting these blisters everywhere that looked so extremely painful.  Rowan's are a ton worse, although Chandler has them in his mouth and cries every time he tries to eat. One of those times you wish you could take the pain away.  We went to the Dr. on Friday and it's just a virus so we have to wait it out.  Marsh & I haven't gotten it, probably because we've both had it as children.  So it's a lot of staying home as they are pretty contagious right now.
Here's a little blurb about it:
Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a common viral illness of infants and children. The disease causes fever and blister-like eruptions in the mouth and/or a skin rash. HFMD is often confused with foot-and-mouth (also called hoof-and-mouth) disease, a disease of cattle, sheep, and swine; however, the two diseases are not related—they are caused by different viruses. Humans do not get the animal disease, and animals do not get the human disease.
Anyways, we could use a few positive thoughts. It seems like we finally kicked Row's ear infections in the butt, and now this. Marsh has also been having some problems with his ears and hearing.  He thought it might be due to ear wax buildup but he went to the Dr., and they just made it worse.  If it doesn't get better in the next week or so, I'm going to look up an ENT for him to go see.  It seems like it's just one thing after another....
Thank heaven for good health insurance.

Man Camp

Our ward had "man camp" last Friday. Marshall was really excited to go and take Chandler. I told Marshall to take pictures, and he did a great job! My favorite is the video. Chandler was so excited to see the kids and asked them what they were doing....only to get blown off, lol.

You don't think he had a good time, do you?
