Chandler's Room

So we tackled Chandler's room this last weekend. I took a bunch of before pictures, but the first few didn't turn out. You'll get the idea from the one that did turn out. The room was painted tan with a dinosaur border. Not my favorite. We weren't sure how to paint, and then I found this cute stripe idea. We had 3 colors matched from his throw pillow and got to work Saturday morning. Can I just say stripes are VERY tedious. I was so tired of taping in the end, and of course it didn't turn out perfect, but it is much better. I love his room so much more now and think it compliments everything else in it. And of course Chandler loves it too!

The only decent before picture (I took 4 pictures and this is the only one that turned out....I think I need a new camera!)

After

These curtains were made for his window in our old apartment.  I think they are a little short now....I may be soliciting more help from my mom :)
So what do you think?

That's super cute Tiffany! We actually have that exact same bedding set for Bridger. We had already painted his room lime green to match his baby stuff, but next time, I was totally planning on doing the stripes to match the bedding set. Anyway, good job...it's very cute!

Wow Tiff that makes such a difference! It was hard to picture it when you described it but it turned out WAY cute! Maybe you better go pick out another bedding set before they are gone so when you get a bunk bed Rowan will have one to match.. Totally cute!

I love it. Beats the dinosaur border.

Tiff, I know you've heard it, but the room turned out very cute! Jagged lines are in style right now, so if the taping wasn't perfect it won't matter!

Nice! Decorating is a lot of fun. A lot of work, but always fun when you have some kind of vision and can pull it together.

It looks like you are having fun personalizing your space.

Good job and nice color match. Of course I will help make new curtains. Just get the fabric and measure how long and wide you want them. Did we do two panels or just one? We can make some cute pillow shams with big buttons with the old ones.

Love it! And actually, I like the curtains shorter (thought it was on purpose). If you move your curtain bar up high to the ceiling it will be that long-valance effect.

Great job, painting is a pain!

I love the colors! It turned out really cute, I've been thinking of doing stripes in Claire's, we decided to put up chair rail instead, I don't think I'd have had the patience for it, it looks great! Oh I'm going to be in Utah on Monday, I want to come see your house!

i love the stripes.. you are braver than i am... though you have given me inspiration for savannahs room. and the curtains are great. i would add a little more to the bottom or.. you could cut them off and make them a valance..all in all it is way cute.

That is so cute! I'm happy with the colors in our house right now, but I think it's just because I can't face painting right now! :)You are definitely a stronger woman than I am.

Very cute!!! I love the colors. Where did you get those circle things on the wall? Are those just the toy holder things from IKEA?

Nice works on the stripes! I wanted to try them, but was too scared. Yours turned out great! A HUGE improvement. I think Avery is right- you should probably try to track down another set of bedding. It is too cute to pass up!
