Mother's Day

Marshall never ceases to amaze me when it comes to Birthdays, Christmas, or Mother's Day. He's always been incredibly creative from day one. (Basically when we were 15 :) ) I had to work yesterday and had to get up at a very early 4 am. It wouldn't have been so bad but I had already worked Thursday & Friday night, and it's hard to transition between days and nights when I have that kind of turn around.
Anyways, Marsh got up and made me breakfast, and then when I was about to leave I saw a card on the door. It was really sweet and had a nail taped to it. It said, "You might need this to drive to work safely." I was a bit confused but it all made sense when I went out and saw the car. He had written all over it, there were chocolates on the seat, flowers in the front and back window, a rose air freshener, and tons of balloons inside the car. It really made my day and made it so it wasn't quite so hard to go to work. Oh, and I DID have people honking at me because of the message on the back of the car. How embarassing :)

It took me a while to still figure out why you needed the nail.

To pop the balloons right?

Very cute!

Oh that is so cute! How creative, I am impressed! Oh and yah, we are still planning on going to the swim party next week, unless something happens to come up that I don't anticipate! I'll let you know if I need any boxes...I may actually have enough!

How sweet! So funny to look at you in that car and know that you have two kiddos because you look like a teenager to me. That's a compliment so don't be offended. LOL. People say it to me all the time and I just think, 'good, I'll only look 30 in my 50s'. Haha. I hope.

Anyway, I hope you had a great day and you look fabulous. :o)

After I finished making a mess of the car, I began to think how illegal it must be to drive on I-15 w/ traffic not to mention dangerous- limiting her view. That's when the nail came in to pop some balloons to avoid an accident, but that didn't solve the paint all over the windows! I hoped the police would let her pass by since it was mother's day and give her a break. I was EVEN MORE grateful for her, to see she made it home alive and w/ no tickets! I cleaned off the car shortly after. Not so thoughtful after all! Whew...
